Sonsierra Rioja Wines.

Tempranillo Grape Wine:Bodegas Sonsierra is a Medium Bodied Red Fruity Tempranillo wine. Bodegas means a Storehouse for maturing wine. Bodegas Sonsierra is a is in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and is part of the municipality in the Spanish La Rioja region. Sonsierra means "from under the Sierra".

Tempranillo is a Spanish black grape grown to make full-bodied Rioja wines and often referred to as the "noble grape" of Spain. The name Tempranillo is the diminutive form of the Spanish temprano which means "early" because it ripens several weeks earlier than most other Spanish red grapes. Tempranillo wines can be drunk when they are young although the more expensive ones are aged in oak barrels for several years. The wines are a strong ruby red with aromas and berry flavours and plum, vanilla and leather but all should have the characteristic oaken fullness.
